ClimatePartner's Online Deep Dive into the forest, land, and agriculture (FLAG) sectors explains and clarifies the latest developments from both the Greenhouse Gas Protocol – Land Sector and Removals Guidance, and the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) FLAG Guidance.

By setting clear guidelines on how to account for emissions and removals in the land sector, companies get a better understanding of their impact on greenhouse gas emissions originating from the production of food, paper, and textile products. By setting science-based targets (SBTs), companies make an important contribution to reducing their carbon footprint. The targets are based on the aspirations of the Paris Agreement, aiming to limit the global temperature increase to 1.5 °C above pre-industrial levels.
